the good, the bad, the ugly
It has been raining for most of the day... Gloomy weather. But I super love. :) The breeze and the emo atmosphere it creates heh.
Anyway just a quick update before everything vanishes to the back of my head.
Went to OCS Social Night with a friend. It was all the way at SAFTI which is retardedly far and ulu. But beside my future school, as my friend pointed out. Zzzz. It was just as I thought it would be- walking around and basically making small talk with people whom I've forgotten their names the very next instance. It was quite alright...but no pictures though cos I wasn't really in the mood to take or be in photos. Haha. Yes photography also need mood. I felt quite bad that he paid for all cab fares plus take this and that for me.
Sunday was Father's Day! Treated Dad and family to a thai restaurant called Thai Accents at Vivocity. It was good! Food was delicious and the portions were just right. Following that we went to a fish spa at Bishan where there's all the prawning and such there. I swear it was one of the most ticklish experience I've ever had. I think my feet has a lot of dead skin. The fishes came by the truckload and formed this black 'cast' around my feet. -_- Ultra gross. But my legs do feel smoother after that. :D I shall go again hurray!
Monday... suppose to go for medical checkup but I was really really tired! Lousy excuse but anyway I called to postpone it. Went to the library to borrow books on nanotechnology which I had procrastinated since forever. I am glad I will be studying something I like. :) But I am worried that I won't know anyone there and no one wants to be my friend. Ugh! This is why I hate the start of a new school. Anyone reading this, if you are going to NTUMSE please tell me!! :/
Took BTT on tuesday and failed tmd. Damn tricky. And maybe cos sleepy then cannot think rationally. Oh well. Next test coming up soon. Must confirm plus chop pass. Sian so lousy. Anyway had drums at night. Drums is major love!!! Lesson went quite well and ended off with Joe saying that he hates his students to be so good. -_- I am not very sure how to take that comment so I just gave a feeble smile. Try my best also got wrong?? Knn.
I am feeling majorly fat!! I should go out more often instead of staying at home everyday and stuffing my face full of junk food. Anyway I don't know if I should go for engin camp! Advantage: make new friends so when school starts no need worry so much! Disadvantage: also making new friends...I suck at it. And there are all the games omg I hate games they play at camps/orientations.

I conclude I'm halfway there to being a workaholic cos it's only 3 weeks being jobless and I am ultra bored already! Not to mention that I hate seeing my bank balance decrease as time goes by no matter how slowly.
So... I need to buck up and go find a better paying job!! But contradictorily I am super unmotivated to leave the house for the sole purpose of an interview which might take 1/5 of the time I take to reach the location. Sigh. If only they are so eager to hire me that they will immediately cab to my void deck and we can commence our interview here. But no, an economical crisis has to coincide with my poorest period and I should be lucky to be accepted for a $4/h job at Pulau Ubin counting blades of grass or something.
Sigh. I should totally slog my guts out now so that when I start working all I have to do is to lift a finger and I get $10k muahahaha. But that wouldn't be intellectually satisfying would it. So for the time being if anyone got lobang for a good job please introduce to me!! :D :D Extend your helping hand to the poor i.e. me.
Oh it just hit me that I came online to do uni admin stuff about 4h ago and til now the booklet is still in my room. So stay hall or not?? What a bother.
Anyway pilates today was damn funny with the thera band. I just happily anyhow pick a grey one which is the best colour there from Chew's collection and once the teacher told put one end under our foot and stretchhhh our arm, I reckon I only managed to displace 2cm HAHAHA. I suspect she was laughing internally with minimal twitching of her facial muscles cos I looked super constipated. -_- So I gave up and switched to the pink band which was a hell lot easier! Muahaha I look damn pro with it LOL. :D:D
Went to Escape themepark with Miss PumaSpecs yesterday. Three-word phrases to describe it include, Suck Really Bad, Not Worth It, Why So Boring. I reckon we only spend 2 odd hours in there? Most of the better rides were under maintainence/torn down, left all the dumb shit like the Ferris Wheel with 8 cabins. The most interesting thing that happened would probably be when we sat the Wet and Wild where I looked like a rain cloud has strategically chose to pour on me. And the entrance fee is $17.70!! Like !@#%^&#@ fucking not worth it. Give me Science Centre anyday.
Anyway I am super elated the gojane.com shoes I want are now cheaper!! Totally bought them on the spot. Snakeskin weeeeee~

I am amazed that I have spent hours by the computer Youtubing Paramore, trying to find a song that will I don't like, but failed.

I have to make it clear though I'm not jumping into the bandwagon going, oh <3twilight = <3decode = <3 Paramore (though other songs not as good)!! I admit I've only heard of Paramore because of Decode, which is a great song incidentally, but I have never even watched/read Twilight, so don't stereotype me. Their other songs are pretty awesome too!! :D

show me the money honey
I am considerably concerned about my salary which has taken eons to arrive due to a newspaper article I read yesterday, The Straits Times, Home section front page.
What else but The Grangeford.
I admit that the first selfish thought I had after reading was, "Shit then my pay how??" Considering I am not working there anymore, and from the experience for the past 2 months, wages have to be personally requested from the lady boss, best on the 7th of each month, when the company is wealthiest having collect rent during that period. Plus, she is always on the move, so people who come to collect pay/commission from her have to wait for her to return or consider themselves making a wasted trip.
When Ivy and I quitted mid-May, we were assured we would get our pay earlier than the usual 7th of the month, which was latest by last Wednesday. But now I am still broke. :( The HR in-charge just replied my email where she said that lady boss would drop in the cheque for us then. I am not really appeased with the reply as their word had been broken once already.
What made me antsy was that the article mentioned that they had a lot to pay to the tenants of The Grangeford, including rental deposits and compensation. That, on top of the loss they had incurred by tearing down the partitions and the whole lot of renovation they had done. That's a hell lot of money.
This, I suspect, may be one of the reasons why we are yet to be paid. However, while I empathize with them, I still do not think it's a viable excuse to put off paying their staff, especially in times of crisis where the more pragmatic people might suddenly tender their resignation and leave the company to fend for itself. How's that for morale boosting. Chaos might ensue.
But all in all, my thinking is that no matter what scenario a company is facing, it should never compromise on it's integrity as credibility is extremely important for a company which is experiencing rapid growth and do not want to crash back down to square one due to a moment of procrastination.
Yes so... I WANT MY FUCKING PAY!!! If not I can only sit back and watch the GSS speed pass me.
On a random note my whole body is fucking aching and I have no idea why. -_- On top of the pilates stretches. Gah I think I am going to develop a cold. :( And on top of that my digestive system has to weaken, which to look at the silver lining, I might be able to shed a couple of kilos heheh.
Note to self: Must save up for a full ds by this year! Though I'm not quite sure which are the better brands. Yamaha??
